just go with a mobil 1 atf i have been told that RP will ruin the clutches in the trans

i do not remember how many quarts i was thinking 7 but call the ford dealership

it will not take as much as the manual says because you do not drain the atf from the converter

Thanks 99 GT vert. I'll take your word on it & I'll go buy some mobile 1 ATF. I just wasn't sure with a auto which kind was the best. I don't want to ruin anythang. So thats why I started this thread.

If anyone else has any suggestions about AFT or does n don't with a shift kit please pm me or add to this thread. Thanks again everyone.

no he's right, shift kits are for automatic transmissions only. Some of them make the automatic transmission have full manual control.

There are short shifters for manual transmissions if thats what you meant.

I'm imagining that's what he means. Everyone does that who has a manual, but shift kits are definately just for autos. Sorry pal.
