springs for cams?

Default springs for cams?

i have some comp cams extreme energy XE268H-14 adv dur .006 267 273
dur .050 230 236

valve lift .495 .495

should i get some beehive valve springs b4 i get them installed? the website said its not necessary but im not sure if i should.

If you're planning on sticking with the stock rev limiter then you should be fine. If you want to up the rpms, better do the springs too.

I would change them as well for a peace of mind. You got to remember with your bigger cam and different spring loads stock was not designed for. If your stock spring goes then you will need a new motor. Springs are only about $225 well worth it.

oh they wont work?i emailed compcams cuz i thought i was sent the wrong ones a while back. but they said they would work on a 4.6L 96-04. i gotta sell them on ebay or something if theyre the wrong ones cuz i bought them so long ago.
