yes you need a 6 speed! I catch myself all the time needing that extra gear on the interstate. I ran a pullied cobra and the only reason he pulled on me is beacause of the 6 speed. I killed him through third but when I shifted to 4th he was already in 4th and coming.

what does a 8 bolt flywheel have to do with anything????? the flywheel bolts to the crank, so you would need a cobra 8 bolt crank to change the flywheel to an 8....... i believe that the bellhousing on the tranny is different, you need a new crossmember, new driveshaft... that should be all... and shifter

I'd love a 6 speed too...but the Cobra to auto swap is anything but natural. A buddy of mine who owns a speed shop does the swap, he said he literally had a guy offer him $800 just for INSTRUCTIONS on the swap.

I'd say if you are set on doing it, go with Mikes setup above.
