Default Drag Radials

What are the downfalls to drag radials? Are they ok for a daily driver? will they have too much grip for my rear end if i have gears and no rear end reinforcements?

only downfall would be that they dont last as long as "average" street tires

Nitto drag radials have warning sticker about colder temps. If you don't drive in cold weather they're fine.

nitto DRs will do you fine. MTs are overkill, and bfg's suck. ive ran like 10 sets of nittos year round, and have had no issues whatsoever. i seem to get about a year or so out of em

How cold is too cold to drive on them, and what will happen if you do?

really. i can get a year out of nitto's. definitly going with nittos have only heard good things about them! if you drive on them when its too cold they won't get any traction and the tire will be very hard like an eraser so you could imagine that.

I used to run on Nitto DR's. They were great for the street. I didn't own them long enough to get an idea of how long they last but the traction was so much better than street tires.

The NT05 is suppose to be great too and IMO is a better tire if you aren't going to the track. The 555R will have a soft sidewall which is great for the track but annoying IMO on the street in corners.
