Default 03 GT problem - first ever 60k miles

Techs/Motorheads;

I am having the first problem with the 03gt ever.

On throttle/rev @ 19500-2200 rpm i am getting a soft tickticktick in the rev for a short second. could it really be a piston cover or whatever they call it, isolator tapping the head.

Not on downshift, only on that spot in the rev. Higher and lower rev sounds perfect, amazing like always. I just get a slight tick type ping (not like marbles) but like a can on the back of a bike with the spokes flapping it. Tensioner chain?? maybe?

60k miles.
installs below.
no ses lights, etc.
I currently cannot post the sound. I re-did the oil, added lucas, all new fuel, added lucas also.

(exhaust tech says no leak, nothings loose, and cats are good)
(my other exhaust shop's worker told me, a throw out bearing on the clutch?)
(another exhaust shop tech told me my driver side cat is bad)
(tranny shop to come this week)

in the meanwhile, what could it be? how could it be a cat?

It could be one of the things above I suppose, but I'm not totally sure. Anyway, I'm sure it's nothing that bad, so don't sweat it too much.

Now for the question: why are those cats still on your car?

Could be the timing chain tensioner. Mine is flapping about and sounds like crap. Could be a lifter, could be spark knock, could be a paranoid owner, could be carbon slap. Try taking it out and floor it a few times. That should create enough pressure to clean the pistons off.

My 98 Cadillac does it all the time and here is the procedure I use. Get on an open road and get to about 30 MPH and put it in second. Then go floor it till around 5K rpm and let it coast, then do it several more times.
