Default Tuning Questons...

I was interested in getting a hand helf tuner in the near future, but i had a few questions (i searched some of threads for info, but didn't quite find what i was looking for).

Say I get a SCT Tuner from AM.com, how good will there custom tunes be versus a custom tune from a peformance shop?

Also, can someone please explain what sniper tunning is. Is it a shop that does custom tunes or do they sell their own hand held tuner, or do they do both?

I'm basically just looking to get a hand held tuner that will help me get the most HP out of my bolt on's (throttle body, plenum, and intake will be installed soon) and adjust my speedometer for the larger tires that I currently have and if I decide to get gears in the future.

the tunes from american muscle are nothing special, its better to go to a shop. sniper is another type of tuner, most people feel its the best because you can get a lot of hands on tunning yourself, i have sct which is fine, i can program my gears and other simple things, all tunners should do what your needing, but from what i understand sniper is just much better than the rest, its also the most expensive

Go with SCT. I actually have one for sale too. How convenient.

ct_white_stang,how do you have a sniper custom tune if you have a SCT? I thought sniper only does custom tunes on predors?

Also, has anyone had any experience with Brenspeed, they seem to offer a custom tune with a SCT X3 tuner as well, would that likely be a better tune than from AM?

I had the SCT, for sale I might add, but my tuner only uses Sniper now so I have a sniper tune from him now.
