It was a bad iac, aparently both iacs I had were bad. Now I've got a brand new one and it fixed the idle issue.

i have the same problem on my 06 GT. I just throw it in neutral and turn the car off and restart it rolling. Fixes the problem for months before it happens again. Happens more often on hotter days though.
