With the door open, push the window button and hold it down and slam the door shut.

mine did the same thing and is currently in pieces in my door. my relay was clicking but when i pulled the motor, i pushed the switch and the motor turned freely. most likely a bind in your window scissors. whatever you do dont pull too much of that stuff off, because it is spring loaded and a pain to get back in. i have spent a few hours trying to fix mine and all i have ended up with is cut hands.

I had simular problems with FORD window regulators. They are built with plastic gears and like to break. Its a PITA to replace the gears when the regulator is riveted on the door panel.

It is most likely your window regulator. It is a PITA if you don't have the right tools and know-how. take it to a body shop, let them diagnose it for you and give you an estimate on repairs.
