Default OEM or aftermarket Throw out bearing?

We have a 2000 GT that the previous owner put a stageII clutch. We just installed 3.73 gears a few days ago and the throw out bearing just went out. I don't know what brand of clutch was installed. Should I go with the OEM bearing or aftermarket? Some post say use TimKen. Do they make high performance TOB?

I need to change mine too and I hear that OEM is the best to go with.

Go with "Metal" OEM. I just don't trust the new Timkin Plastic TOB's

Stinking TOB , seems to be a common problem with not just Mustangs but quite a few Fords.

I have the same problem..TOB is a little noisy.( I guess its a cable adjustment, not enough slack and TOB ride on peasure plate fingers and spins and wears out TOB )
I hear quite a few people recommend the centerforce TOB over OEM .

Anyone have good luck with that one lasting.
I hear stay away from spec 2 TOB the same problem has happen as OEM.

thats ford's dumb design....all of them are like that. no matter how much slack you were to give it, it will still ride on the pressure plate.

IIRC jazzer had some kind of mod that changed this...
