how many 1/10ths do you think my or x pipe gives me? i am about to have a baby with my wife and fear i may hardly ever get to drive my gt due to the current setup being so loud and raspy! i was concidering puting back my factory 4 cat h pipe. but was wondering how much slower i might be in the 8th mile?
not overly quick as it is only running 9.5!

I dont have or want to spend what might total $500 on exhaust components when i already have over $500 in my current setup. Thanks for your ideas though

i have a love/hate thing going on with my exhaust!
love it being loud and rude and making folks snap their necks round to see my mustang, also get quite a few complements.
hate it droning for the 2 hr round trip to the 8th mile. it also has this high pitched noise around 2000rpm thru 3500rpm, i find myself shifting before 2000rpm to avoid pissing off the neighbours and getting tickets.

Even with your stock H-Pipe the LM-1's will still keep your car being loud. There's a kid at my work who runs the LM1's through the stock mid-pipe and manifolds and it's still loud. Also, with the stock H in place you will regain lost torque down low by adding more back-pressure. You'll like the torquey feel. As for overall horsepower, you should not lose more than 8-10 MAX.

Re-installed the factory h pipe (4cats) and to my supprise my et actually improved!!!
i was shocked My previous best was 9.5 and i pulled a 9.4! no other mod changes. same tire pressure. same track. same hummid sweaty weather!!
I only swapped it out to quietten the exhuast! who wants to buy a stainless ex xpipe?!!

you shouldnt lose any time at all in the 1/8th....in fact your car should be running quite a bit faster than a 9.5 if i recall my stock GT ran 8.7 with flowmaster weld ins on stock tires. what you really need is a lil more practice to get the those times down
