Default Front sway bar removal

is it safe to drive on the highway without a front sway bar? if its not safe how easy is it to remove at the 8th track? is it even worth removing?

i believe its good for a tenth or two off your E.T. i used to run my 89' notch with no sway bar and im currently running my 02' with no sway bar either (im too lazy to put it back on). its actually really easy to take off i think its three bolts on each side and i took it off while waiting for tech at the track.

i dropped mine when i swapped k-member and a-arms. havent been runnin one since. but my suspension is upgraded. i have heard of people dropping them for drag. dunno if its that good or not. never heard of it making a whole tenth or more unless combined with other stuff for weight savings?

I wont run a car as a daily driver without a sway bar. The rear sway bar on my old Mark VIII broke and it was very unstable in the curves. I don't want to sacrifice my cornering ability for a little bit off my 1/4 mile.

it is good for drag racing not because of the weight but because it allows the front end to twist and lift faster and easier.. and it should be about 1 tenth off your E.T.. also if you have a K&N fipk filter behind the headlight, take out that headlight and should help a little bit also..

wow... YOUR GONNA DIE IF YOU TAKE IT OFF....

ok now lets be serious... yes take it off, itll help transfer weight better. no its not unsafe... and its fine to DD like that... yes you get a LITTLE more body roll in turns... but hey... pick one, turns or straight line?

basically driving my car around turns is like driving our 96tahoe around turns... yea its not on rails around the turn... but its perfectly ok

btw i have skinnies, 4cyl springs, 90.10s, and no sway bar.... so lets be serious... nothing bad is going to happen

Yeah my last 2 cars were a 71 Dodge Demon, and a 71 Plymouth Sattelite with 440 (Same thing as a Road Runner) neither had ANY sway bars.
I consider sway bars like traction control in the rain, nice to have and gives you less things to be worried about, but if your mindful of your driving you'll be fine without.
People drove without them for a long time.
