Default HVAC LED swap question

Hey guys, just swapped the bulbs behind my HVAC controls, wanted blue rather than the green that came from the factory. Supposedly there is a blue film behind the lights that make the output green since the stock bulb have a yellow tint to them, but mine still looked green after installing the super white LEDs in there? Do new edge mustangs have a green film rather than blue? I currently have the blue wedge type 5 LED bulbs in there, and it looks like a really dim aqua

Anyone who's done this before, your help would be appreciated, thanks!

I did the exact same thing in my 96 and it turned out blue so the new edges must have something different going on with them.

New edge cars have a green film that has to be sanded off.

Someone posted a video of how they had to sand off the film on the gauge cluster... I wouldn't doubt if you would have to do the same on the HVAC.

I guess that's the one nice thing about the SN-95... our film is blue.

Do you have to run resisters or are the LED's simply plug and play?

I've been thinking about doing this with my 98 for a while now. I'm going to pull the dash cluster soon to reinstall a shift light, so now seems like a good time.
