I've never seen this done before, but even if it could be, i would never do it!
My ride is similar (full bolt ons + 100 shot) and i'm about to buy a set of cams without changing the springs right now.
Bullet Racing Cams have a new series of custom grinds that don't require a spring change. I'm looking at buying a set of these.

Its not safe to regrind the stock stuff, just get some good billet ones.
Bullet Stage 2 NA would be the max you can fit with the stock intake valve clearance problem the PI head has, plus they are fine with the stock valve springs.

Just my .02, but I'd never do cams without doing a new set of springs. It doesn't make sense to me to have everything ripped apart and risk running your old valvesprings. Yea, I know it's money, but it's nice insurance. I don't care what the manufacturer says about being able to run the stock springs, I'd replace them.

I do realize it's good insurance and won't hurt, but for someone who wants cams, but can't afford the big labor charge that is involved with the spring change, then there are a few good cams that fit the bill.

Stock PI beehives handle a lot more than people give them credit for.
Funny thing the Comp spring that so many people changed to back in the day (and still do today) has about the same specs as the stock PI. It was originally designed for the NPI head which installs the spring 0.1" shorter and its specs are rated as such. Its a waste of money in the PI head.
