Its really not a big deal to leave it off... Unless the TS plans on taking high speed turns on a regular basis.
Getting it off is cake. Remove the end links from the control arm (I believe you will need a 15mm socket and wrench) then remove the 4 mount nuts and straps. You will need a 16mm deep socket for those. Then just slide it on out.
