I already told the TS what to do. Check the owners manual for the Doorchime, or have someone with a PDS/IDS Ford scanner disable it.

I followed you instructions and well... murphy and his dumb law paid me a visit... I can't get the key out now. Anyone wanna tell me how to get the key out? It seems the release lever (the annoying thing that says "push" on it) wont push in to allow me to turn the ignition the whole way back... any ideas? thanks.

So, I've finally got my car put back together and the "door chim" disabled... I award jazzer the winning for the best idea however. Thanks for the help.

I'm with Jazzer on this one too. I just pulled the little chime speaker out from under the dash. If anyone wants to do it that way just look for a quarter-size, 1/2" thick, black cylinder under the driver's side dash. It's a little bit of a pain in the *** to find, but once you find it, it takes five seconds to get rid of it.
