Default Need a little assistance with a couple questions.

Whats up forum? It's been over a year but I am back on here. That means one thing, I got another mustang the other day. Didn't want a new one so I found a black 98 GT Vert for $5,500 that was in good condition. I have a couple questions and I hope you can help. I am looking to buy aftermarket rims for my car. Right now it has the stock 17" x 8" rims on it. Can I put any 5 lug 17 x 8 rim on my car or are there specific numbers I need to look at to make sure they fit correctly? If so, does anyone know the numbers? Also, the day I bought the car, the odometer decided to stop working on me. Is there anything I can do or anywhere I can check to see if anything came unplugged before I go buy a new gauge cluster to put in it? Thanks again and it's good to be back on here.

Believe any size rim 5x4.5 bolt pattern will work as long as the backspacing is correct. The front I think is a 9" wide max and the back 10" if you go to a respectable shop or most online stores will search by make/model and will have the correct sizes and offer tire sizes to keep the speedo in check.

As far as the odometer goes, check the trans connections for the speed input, if that came loose it may interrupt the reading, otherwise I dont have a clue on the odometer issue

Thanks for the info. I figured out why the odometer stopped working. I pulled out the gauge cluster, took it apart and noticed all the teeth from the main odometer gear were broke off. At least it's a cheap fix.
