i guess i got my info wrong i was looking on americanmuscle.com in the intake manifold area and i found this.

This is the current production plastic intake manifold from Ford Rcing, used on 2001-03 4.6L SOHC 2V Mustang GT. This is a less expensive alternative to aftermarket performance intake manifolds for PI head swaps. It fits 1999-2004 Power Improvement head ports and is great for custom engine builds. 1999 GT's will require the use of an Alternator Bracket from a 2003 GT. It can be used on 1996-98 engines with Performance Improvement (PI) heads. Additional modifications and parts required.

so i only thought pi mustangs were thoes years "2001-2003" any 1 have any more info on this? is it only for that year for the intake mani's?

i also look on outher froums and theres alot of controversy when actual PI came into place... some people actuly said that they came as early as 98 so i dono what to belive.

PI engines started in Mustangs in 1999.

I don't know specifics about the cam profiles and such.

It is a different set heads and cams and also a different intake manifold.

No. That intake has the aluminum crossover which the 99-00 did not have. They were all PI though.
