It's definately coming from the surface vents. only the center vents, not the outer edge vents.

Honestly this is a little off what you guys are talking about....but in my 98 GT the center vents rattled a bit, and I traced it to vibration from the car at highway speeds which turned into u-joints. I replaced the u-joints and the vibration was gone. Who knows though
