Why do you automatically assume a bad 02 sensor? Maybe the 02 sensor works fine and is reporting a problem? Thats why they are there lol. Sorry to jump on you I had like 5 people at work ask me to replace their 02's because of 02 codes yesterday.
Like white fox said most of the time a lean code is thrown because of intake side vacuum leak, or possibly a cracked exhaust manifold. I recently had a bank 2 sensor 1 lean CEL and I found that there was a small crack in the collector of my long tube. Welded it up and now code is gone.
What I would do if I was in your shoes is goto a sears auto center, They don't have great techs but a exhaust evaluation is free. Have them check for a exhaust leak. If nothing. start searching through your vacuum lines.
