Default 97 cobra question

Hello all, my dad got himself a 97 cobra today and that thing is sweet!! I gotta question for ya'll though. When the car is going slow through 1st gear (it's a 5 spd) and he presses the breaks there's a slight clicking noise coming from the rear breaks and one of the fronts breaks too i think. What could that be??? You can only hear it when he's going slow i.e. pulling into and out of the driveway, etc... He's gonna probably get it looked at in a few days when he gets it inspected, but i'm told him i'd ask on here and see if ya'll had any ideas. Any info will be appreciated.

all cobras are standards. all 5 speeds til 03 they started making 6 speeds just for you to know ummm it could be the rotors. how many miles on the car? how well was it maintained before. since he just bought it i'd have all the fluids flushed and put new ones in as well as new brakes and rotors just to be safe. usually when ppl buy a car thats used they go to a trusted mechanic and have them inspect it and let the owner know whats wrong with the car or if its perfectly fine. a cobras a nice car you might want to just be on the safe side and do those things

well on my 96 cobra, it doesnt make noise, but it does pulsate when braking. im changeing the pads and rotors tuesday, but i have heard that around these years of cobra's (gt's too) the rotors warp easy. so it could be as simple as warped rotors.
hope that helps
do you have pictures?

Yeah, the car is in almost mint condition, it was very well taken care of. The previous owner didn't drive it that often, so it had been sitting for a little while. It has 70,000 miles on it and runs great. Don't have any pics of it online yet, but i will soon. We're gonna take some pics of my 96 GT, his 97 cobra, and my step-moms 04 GT together.....cuz we're the mustang family now!!! Thanx for the info....hopefully i'll be able to post some pics of all three cars soon...

well if it was sitting for a while might it have left inprints on the rotors? i know a frinds car did that once when he let it sit for a while. and he had to do his brakes. good luck
