I'm running 255/40/17's up front and 315/35/17's on the rear the front rims are 17/8 and the rears are 17/10.5. My understeer seams to be the same as it was stock, but I haven't had the rims and tires on all that long either. I'll let you know after Saturday were going on a cruise, so we'll see how she does on Ortega HWY. Lot's of twisties should be a good time.

gunpig.... I wont go soo far as Avlon, but certainly be careful

The understeer that is all but guaranteed, is going to come under pretty aggressive driving. My cars understeer was bearly noticable on the street, until I REALLY pushed it and that is rare.

All this being said, I would much rather have understeer than oversteer!

Well the cruise went good today. The understeer wasn't as bad as I thought it would be there where a few turns were I could feel it.

I ran 255/45zr18 fr, 295/35zr18 rears and with coilovers at #325 front #225 rears with stock suspension at my last soloII event and had some understeer issues, made me have to swing the rear out a few on some of the quicker turns. I have yet to run any events with the IRS swapped in with the same tire combo, only diff is the built IRS (sans halfshaft) and the rears have been upped to #525 rears. However on the road, it's a million times better when pushed a bit hard on the coastal highway from LA to SF=P

Easiest way to correct understeer is with power. Also, 275's and 255's aren't that staggered, but 275's on 10.5's is a huge stretch.

You are a moron.

If you are taking a corner, you shouldn't be on the throttle until after you have reached the apex. You will understeer before this. More power won't make up for understeer. A better tuned suspension will.
