hey guys. just bought a new hood and some ford racing hoodpins.

the hood was a pain to get on, but everything is installed. i go to look a where to put the hood pins, and there is really no location to install them!

i have a buddy who's got an aftermarket hood with hoodpins, and drove over to take a better look.

personally he did a ****ty job. he even told me it before i took a look at them. he mounted the bolts on the headlight braket, and they really show no "reasurance" to hood flinging up. the brakets even have a crack on both sides where he drilled them. ****ty job.

i was wondering if anyone had any kind of REAL hood pins, and where the conveinetly located them. thanks guys. i'll post pics of the hood later!

I will head out to my ride and take some pics tomorrow of what I have done.

I installed FRPP ones and all SS, so will not rust at all. Went in nice and clean with an aftermarket hood, so not sure how the stock hood will line up with the location I have used.

You could do a search in the Saleen Roush section for threads started by me and should come up with some pics and info. Did it over a year ago.

They mount where the factory rubber hood stops go.
I used this info to do my FRPP hood pins and it works like a charm.

yep...in place of the rubber stops...i added radiator hose on top of the pins to act as bump stops
