Default 2002 Mustang GT rear wheel squeaking

As the topic states, in my '02 GT, the rear wheels squeak pretty bad when I go over speed bumps or holes. But when I turn, its a lot worse. I was told it was the rear wheel bushings, but when i went to the local automotice parts store, "rear wheel bushings" wasnt listed. What is the exact term for such a part?

Thank you.

I think it is your emergency brake cable you need to wd40 it where it goes through the loops right before the rear whel.

Good advice. Rubber on rubber and it squeaks like crazy on mine until it's lubricated.

Go out to your car and push down on the trunk, if its squeeling and creeking I bet its your control arm bushings. My Cobra had 120k miles and factory control arms, and they made all kinds of squeeking and whatnot while driving and turning and going over bumps. I replaced the LCA/UCAs with UPR ones and it was dead silent

I've read a lot about the emergency brake cable being the culprit.

Don't use WD40 on it, use a graphite lubricant WD40 isn't a lube it was designed to go on fishing lures to bead the water off. It wont last that long it will dry up , and you'll have to keep spraying it on. If you can get your hands on some Endura-lube use it, that is what we used on the door hinges and locks when I worked at Ford in up-state New York.
