What kind of alarm do stock Mustang GT's have? When I press the button on my fob, the car beeps twice not with the horn, like a electronic beep, and the beeps come from a black speaker thing mounted on the top of the firewall.

Sounds like an aftermarket alarm. The back of the key fob or inside could teel you who makes it. Or you could look under the dash for the module that the speaker is plufgged into to find out more about it.

I always just took the alarm for granted. It also has a red light that slowly flashes on the dash near the rear window defogger button on the far left near the steering wheel. Is this light stock?

What do all of your cars do when you press the "lock" and "unlock" button? By the way, this alarm I have works with the stock key fob.

my old mustang did nothing when unlocking but if you pressed lock once it just locked, if pressed twice the horn would honk plus the running and fog lights would flash.

No it's not stock with the red led light. Look under the dash around thesteering column area and you will likely find the control modue or the "brain" to see who's alarm it is.

my car has a aftermarket alarm system in it from before i owned it. its mad annoying and i have no information on it so i just keep it off. there is a kill switch for mine near the hood latch release. mine also has a little red light, if its blinking on or off means different settings for it.

Yeah, a red/blue light + electronic horn= aftermarket system. Most popular system is Viper, see them all the time. They have a black 3 button remote, 4 button with trunk option.

Ford had aftermarket alarms installed and then put a ford sticker on the module. I have this on my 01. There is probably a little black button by the driver kick panel. Try this, turn the key to run but do not start, press the red blinking light for 5 seconds then tun the key to off. This should put it in valey mode and now you should only here the car horn.
