guy said he didn't know what error 8 was.. didn't know if he was supposed to calibrate the speedometer, to just check that i pulled the right sensor.... should be a fuse.. this guy doesn't have a clue..am i missing something?

erm...that didnt make much sense. Who did you talk to? Superchips? And he didnt know what error 8 was? Ask for someone else hes a moron. whats this nonsense about a sensor and fuse?

thats i'm saying... he didn't have a clue, before you do the performance tune, you have to disengage the fuel pump by pulling the fuse, he said disconnect the sensor in the truck.. i'm like.. uhh.. what? never had to do that before. and everything else was an idk. not sure why he is answering the phones, sounds like he needs to go back to mopping superchips's floors

what model tuner do you have. If i remember right, and i will look this up in a few, i think the error 8 was the same as i had for my tuner, which meant i had to send the tuner back and have them update the tune for my vehicle. it was free.

they said that it wasn't connected properlly to the obd2, make sure no bent pins etc.

No, 98 back models a tuner will not work to change gear ratio's so your only option is a Speed Cal from Dallas Mustang

Yep! That's what I had to do when I installed 3.73's
98 back the speedo is part mechanical and cannot be flashed like to 99+ models
