Probably what I'm going to have to do.

p.s. what's a new edge?

Just my .02 but I think my 98 makes a great daily driver. Is it fast? Not very, but it was inexpensive, is easy to work on, reliable, fun to drive, etc. SN-95 makes a good first Mustang.

That's all I want, If the car could be reliable for 3+ year with nothing major I'd say you got your money worth. You make a valid point. How much could do you think it could cost fix the paint? The rest of the body is great.

p.s. off topic does a car go bad if it's not driven for 2 years? Say it was garaged for over 2 years ?

99-04, boxy ones not curvy. Much faster and more powerful. Don't get it man, you can find a good deal on a new edge.

No, but the gas should be drained before it's started and the tires may be dry rotted after that time - not to mention change oil, flush coolant (at least I would..). Also the brakes can go all to hell sitting like that - but it's been out of storage and the guy's been driving it for 2 months, and you said you drove it and seemed ok..

Yeah, $5,000 is high even for a Texas market. IMO, the new edges are ugly, I like the 94-98 body style better. Some of you say that you can get the 99+ for $5000, maybe in your section of the country, but around here, you can't touch them for less than $6500. It all depends on your market.

That's pretty impressive, did you have any problems with it? What kind of maintenance did you do? How often did you change the oil?

I like 94-98 style as well I don't see the new edges for under 7-8k and even then they have some pretty high miles.

This makes me think I'm getting a decent deal if I can get it for $4k sounds like you made out pretty well. Your 98 looked real nice!
