The tranny is held to the bell housing by 4 bolts so yes you can pull the separately. It's alot easier to pull the that way.

With BBK longtubes I highly recommend you take the headers off. We did a clutch in my friends car and we tried to pull the tranny out without taking the longtubes off. FAIL. We ended up taking it off and it made a job so much easier.

^+1 - The "bellhousing" is also the front cover for the 3650 tranny, and there are 14 bolts, inserted from inside the "bell", that hold it to the trasmission case.

Yea, unfortunately this isnt like the Fox bodies, the T5 comes out in 4 bolts.

I believe you only need to take out one side for trans removal. Passenger side is it?

My bad I'm used to the T-5 thanks for correcting me on that one. I completely forgot about that with 3650, but correct me if I'm wrong again, but doesn't the 01 Cobra have a T-45 which bolts up like the T-5.

The T45 bellhousing is not reomvable from the outside. Like the 3650, the T45 bellhousing is also the front cover. You cant just pop it off like the T5

I also tried to be sneaky and remove my trans with my long tubes still on.... After a quick ride on the failboat, I just removed them and went on my way.

Personally when I need to remove either the engine or the transmission, I will just take both out because it's a lot easier to do that, especially with a stock K member.
