Sounds like my car is turbocharged?
No jokes please, but I put some "belt conditioner" on my serpentine belt today, and coated the entire length of the belt with it. I didn't take the belt off because I was in a hurry, but I got underneath the car and just basically soaked every area of grooved belt that I could. I started the car maybe an hour later, and my car sounds like I have a turbo. The car whistles very loudly when I pull the throttle cable, and even when I am driving it. I have had the car operating maybe 10 minutes and it has only decreased in noise slightly. Is this normal? Has anyone ever used this stuff? Thanks!

Why did you use "belt conditioner?"
Serpentine belts don't need anything like that. If your belt is making noise, you need a new belt. You used to be able to lube or grease old style V belts, but newer serpentine belts you should never put anything on. Occasionally you can spray them with degreaser if you got something on them while working on the car, and then spray it off with a hose while the car is running, but all that "belt conditioner" stuff is bull****.
