Default Drag Suspension...

I have a 97 Cobra and I really want and need a drag setup in my car. Im tired of breaking sh*t!. I would like to know all ur opinions of what brand(s) to look at. Keep in mind i want my rear end to be unbreakable. I already have 31 spline moser axeles, detroit locker and 3.73 gears. Please give me input on what to do to the suspension, control arms, frame conecters etc... Thanks.

Eibach sells a drag launch kit.

you can get some stickier tires. Control arms and subframe connectors.

first thing though is i would get some Drag Radials or slicks if you want since you beefed up your rear end a lil bit. especially since you have gears. then look towards the CA's and other stuff.

Id go w/ either KYB or Tokico adjustable struts and shocks BBk also makes some drag laung springs. Lower and upper control arms as well. That would be a good setup. You could even keep going w/ rear and front sway bar, sub frame connectors, strut tower brace.

Im looking at buying subframe connectors, caster camber plates, upper and lower control arms from steeda how much of a diffrence is this going to affect my quarter mile time. Any other thing that would be almost a must for a good setup for the amount of power my mods are putting out? Trying to beefing up the rear end for soon to come 100 shot.

You defiently want Upper and Lower control arms, Shocks/struts, Drag launch springs, camber plates, Im not convinced the mustang needs subframe connectors w/out alot of power because when you jack your car up is doesnt bend, atleast not mine. So until im pushing like 400-450 hp, which i most likely wont, im not getting subframe connectors. Also Rear and Front sway bars.

for a drag setup, eibach drag springs(the kit), lakewood 90/10 struts, lakewood 50/50 shocks, upr uppers and lowers, and some kenny brown subframe conn. if you get a K-member, you could also go with the coil overs...

you would be suprised what 300hp can do to your car. 5800-6000rpm launches, will put beatin on any car pushing a DECENT amount of hp. if you are doing a drag setup, don't even worry about the sway bars. they are useless on the track!!

axles could probably hold off for now. i am only pushing 300rwhp and launch the **** out of my car with the stock axles. i have really beat the $hit out of my car and they still haven't broke yet **knocking on wood**
