New Motor to Dyno or Not??

New Motor to Dyno or Not??
I wanted to asked those of you who have built a forged motor and what did you do regarding tuning.
First off I am using Sniper Commando and my tuner said he recommends not putting car on the dyno until 500 miles. He took my baseline tune from Special Forces and pulled out all the timing.
Is this the correct thing to do as I am concerned that fuel air could be off. I am certainly going to take it easy on the motor not do any wide open stomps and will keep car under 3500 rpms and under 75 mph.
How will my tuner know what my fuel air ratio will be if he does not dyno it????
I am thinking a few pulls on the dyno with a new motor is not ideal but better than waiting. I have an MMR built block. Within the instuctions they mention not to spin motor beyond 4500 rpms until after 400 miles?

Build it, run it N/A and run el cheapo standard oil for the start up. You know how to break it in, so do that, change the oil. run it for 500 and change it again. Then I would run another 500-1000 before I put the blower on and dyno'd it. But in N/A trim you dont need to dyno it off the bat.

well the blower is on it and since it is a centri I don't see boost until 2,800-3,000 rpms so I don't believe that should be a problem. Since I will be taking it easy.
I have a sniper tune but should have him double check fuel air correct at idle and to 3,000 rpms on the dyno just not a wide open pulls???

Chris will put a mild tune into it, and after the 500 miles will do the full tune. I would use the Joe Gibbs racing oil, this was highly recomended for warrenty on my Livernois motor. The Joe Gibbs racing oil is expensive, so I will switch to synthetic after the second oil change.
