Default WANT MY CAR FIXED! code P0174

well my cars been driving my nuts. my cel light came on recently code P0174,now its out again. went out not long after i added refridgerant to my a/c with stop leak.

ive replaced my plugs, wires, coils, injectors, fuel filter, ran fuel injector cleaner and nothing helped.
cleaned my maf and airfilter as well.

it runs rough past 2k rpms has vibration and low on power.
my cats are ruined from it running lean.

should i just take it to a mechanic? my dad doesnt seem to know whats wrong and i keep throwing money at it. he checked all the vacuum lines and said everything seems fine.

if anyone can point me in the right direction id appreciate it.

ill pull it up when i get to work tomorrow, but i believe p0174 is system too lean bank 2. if thats the case u should look at maybe drivers side 02 sensor or bad intake gasket. maybe even try cleaning ur maf.

normally only cats get ruined from running too rich, havn't hurt of cats getting ruined from running too lean. Anyways look into the oxygen sensor as mention above, this is what id replace if i was to replace something.

(btw love the pro 5.0, thanks again for the deal )

your right thats what the code means. i dont think a driver side 02 sensor would cause it to run like that and the check engine light wasnt on for the longest time then when it did come on that was the code and it just went back out.

i cleaned my maf,the intake manifold was replaced this spring. it ran great untill recently when i got this problem it instantly started running like garbage.

my bank 2 o2 went bad and it ran terrible. i had the same p0174 system too lean bank 2 and it was dumping way too much fuel. it would cut off at idle, run bad, surge. until u went to wot and then it was ok. moved my rear 02 up to front and now it runs great. (ur rear and front 02's are the same) a bad o2 on the rear wont hurt anything, just cause the light to stay on if u cant turn em off with ur tuner.

Sounds like a bad vac leak dude. Pop the hood and start the car. Listen for a whistling or air rushing sound

this too. the pcv valve hoses are bad for rotting and getting holes in em. they got like an elbow at the back of the intake check that.
