Default WHAT GEARS ARE BEST??

Okay, I have decided to get some gears. What name do you recommend, and what ratio? I want a good set, but at the same time, I want a reasonable price too.. ANY help is appreciated. (edit) Also, I understand that I should recalibrate my speedo to get an accurate reading, but how do I go about that in the cheapest way possible?? Thanks.<edited><editID>redneck101</editID><editDate>37942.6307638889</editDate></edited>

3.55's or 3.73's...if you want more of a highway gear then 3.55's then go with the 3.18's i think they are.

I want at least 3.55's, I've got 3.27's stock, so definitely don't want lower than that (numerically lower I mean) Just not sure of how much of a change 3.73's would do to my miles per gallon and RPM's at 70 or 80 MPH.

yea they are 327"s my mistake...373's wont be that big of a change in gas mileage. i have friend who put 373's in their fox bodies and it isnt much of a difference between their gas mileage and mine.

4.10's may be a little much if 3.73's are turning 2500rpm's at 75. So what do I have to buy to correct the speedometer?

200rpm more actually, &amp; 3.73's WILL NOT give the same performance in a 4.6 as they do for the 5.0. 4.10's will our modulars is comparable to 3.73's in the old fox bodies. Don't fear the gear...4.10. You'll wish you had gotten them if you run into me<IMG src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0">.

3.73's are just fine, I got them on my 2000 GT and I rev 2,500 at 75 MPh. The cheapest way to do it?..DONT DO IT YOURSELF IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!, my best advice, take it to a shop that delas with Mustangs only.<IMG src=smileys/smiley14.gif border="0"></P>
