I've been running 93 ever since I've had my car. Theperformance was awesome at bone stock. I dropped in a K&N filter, installed an o/r Xpipe and a Magnaflows. I still use 93 and it "PUNHCES" even harder...

Hmmm, should I be using 89? hmmmm!

89 is all you need with a near stock car...
take the car back and have then check the timing, fuel pressure,spark..all they do it check codes, these items may not trip any codes. also check your gas cap I know is sounds funny...

nah...octane doesnt mean performance. higher octane is needed when you're running high compression, get pinging, or are running boost and stuff so the gas doesnt detonate before the spark...(right?)

03WhiteGT:

Go back and read a thread titled octane. It's only a week or so old. There is a lot of good info in the thread regarding what octane numbers really mean and what the number means for performance, or lack of performance in some cases. I learned a lot when reading it.
