Default QA1 install and small accident

I was in an accident in my 02 mustang gt. It was hit in the front driverside. i had to replace the stock k member and went with a qa1. IT bolts up fine everywere except for were the qa1 and frame meet up in the bottom driver side, it lines up on both sides above the a arms and on both motor mounts and on the passenger sidebottom just not the bottom driver side, its off by half an inch from teh accident. The auto body shop said they cant straighten it in that spot, and that i would have to do some custom work to bolt it up. I was thinking about welding a plate to teh frame and drilling new holes, or drilling new holes into the frame and threading teh holes and bolting it on that way...just looking for some feed back or help/opinion. if I straighten the k memeber to the back axle and make dew holes on that spot do you think that it would hold...im not sure how much pressure is applied to this spot during driving...

Are you sure the frame is damaged? When I installed my K member, I didn't get all the bolt holes to line up the first time. It took a couple of tries but eventually they all lined up

Ya its deffinitly pushed in where the qa1 meets the frame rail on the bottom driver side. what im really curious to know is if its bolts up everywere else and is straight how important is it to get the other side securly fastened...can i drill new holes in my frame and thread the holes and bolt it on....

It seem like that what you are going to have to do to get it mounted up. You could always undo the job if it way off after you get it lined up. But i no front end man.

Dont use QA1. your wheel base and other things will be messed up. Read the other thread of the guy trying to put on in. IT DOESNT WORK unless you replace your entire front suspension to QA1. QA1 is meant for off road use. Switch to granatelli I think its called at summitracing.com. Its like $600 for the entire kit which replaces your whole front end. Or just buy the K-member for $250. If you use the QA1 your probley going to have alignment problems like the other guy

Ya ive read alot about the alignment issues.......i really smart guy told me to put control arms from a fox body mustang on, qa1 pushes the stock control arm out and at an angle.....teh fox arms are shorter and shouldnt have alignment isues, also they clear the member when you turn, no shaving down
