Intake problem that will not go away.

Intake problem that will not go away.
had a leak on the left side of the manifold, so I replaced the gaskets. I tourqed all the manifold bolts to 20 ft/lbs in the proper tourqe sequence. Now the same leak is there along with 2 new leaks around the thermostat housing and the #5 cylinder (right front next to thermostat). Anyone know of a good how to article so i can see what i did wrong. It was pretty self explainitory, the gaskets even hold themselves with the nipples. And also, the car has a skip when under load now but its probally just a plug issue.
The driver had driven the car hot a few times also, but i check the manifold and seen no cracks.... Can you guys give any tips on this project and a good wright up?

had this problem with my old 99. thats ultimatly why I got rid of the car... Had a leak, replaced the intake manifold+gasket, but no matter what I did, It would start to skip under load.... what i didn't check was the COP where the leak USE to be.
Where the leak was, did it leak coolant onto any specific plug/COP? if so, try replacing that COP and see if that works?

Did you replace the manifold? It could have warped.
Also, your skip could be coming from your manifold leak. The leak is causing the a/f ratio in the cylinder it's leaking to be too lean, causing a misfire. The 5.3, 5.7, and 6.0 GM truck motors are notorious for it.
If you replace the intake and the gaskets, and it's still there, the head itself could have a problem.
