Trying to take out the woodruff key, but pulls out a little bit, then stops. any advice on how to get it out? Thanks

Woodruff keys often expand (cant/upset) in the key slot, usually if you grab it with some vise-grips and wiggle and pull, or tap the vise-grips with a light hammer, they will pull out.

It may also be a hardened bit of loctite that is keeping it captive, vise-grips, wiggling, pulling, and tapping should get it out.
