If you're asking how much the stock crank can take it's around 450-500 ish at the crank

450 is about the limit. 500 would be pushing it for sure.

The stock crank can spin to 8k without fail and I know plenty of mustangs at 700rw using a GT crank.

Now, the other internals give out questionably around 425-450. Some make it a long time without issue, some some don't make it very long at all. Luck of the draw.

If you're talking about Crank rated Hp then add 15% for a manual and 20% for autos.

So what's the point in the forged crank? I was under the impression it was weaker than that.

Have you ever seen a GT crank break before?? Me either.

I think it all the hype came about because of bad harmonic control and misbalanced cranks and the fact that forged is always better than cast. Cobra crank upgrades are needed for High Hp cars which although 700 is up there I wouldn't consider it high, I'm sure you've seen the high numbers that 4v's are famous for.

seems to be the same with the v6 i havent heard of any breaking a cast crank and was trying to see if it was the same with the gt. looking at maybe forging the gt for a reliable 500 rwhp car.

"Advertised" (The popular belief) rates the stock rank at 600rw so no matter what if you just want 500, you'll be good.

Heck, MMR's MMR600 has a 1 year warranty with a cast GT crank and is rated for 600rw.
