Question about codes/O2 sensor
The other day my service engine soon light came on so i got the code read today. The code was P1131 which was:
lack of H02S1 switches-lean (Bank 1 sensor 1)
I was told this was the upstream O2 sensor. My question is can i just clean the O2 sensor or do i need to replace it? Also, could i just clear the code at O'reilly's (where i got it read)? would that fix it? Thanks in advance for your help!
Also any tips on removing the o2 sensor would be appreciated, thanks!

I would first check for signs of a lean condition. Vac leaks or exhaust leaks are the biggest culprit. Dont go condemning an 02 sensor as soon as it throws codes. Thats what the 02s are designed to do, tell you when theres a problem. Also, check the wiring coming out of the 02 sensor and make sure it hasnt been damaged.
