Default help me understand this!!!!

degreeing cams that is. This seems like one of the harder tasks i've had to take on. When i first did the cams I just threw them in and went. this next time around i want to make everything right. CMS stage 2

so i've read countless articles about them and im following along fine and then it just gets to a point where i get completely lost. Maybe when i actually get in there and start the work it will make a bit more sense but i just don't know. Also a few of the tools im gonna need I have some questions about. like a pointer. what is the best thing to use and exactly what is it lol. Finally what are my options as far a test lifter? I thought there was someone out there selling them pretty cheap. i just cant see my self paying 30 some bucks for a MMR solid test lifter.

p.s i have all the other special tools, degree wheel, dial indicator w/ mag base

Ya check out the sticky on degreeing cams in this forum section. I know the stickies are hidden pretty well, but it is a great write up and will help answer your questions.
