car didnt run very good w/out a tune, but it ran. I drove my car about 20 min on highway to take it to get tuned. It def made A LOT of engine noise that didn't sound very nice at all. It makes me wonder if I should of even ran it sounding like that (looking back now)

If you have stock heads and pistons those are going to bend your intake valves.

Whenever you take the heads off update this thread with a picture of the eyebrows your intake valves made in the pistons. Thankfully the stock intake valve is so stiff and hard that it can cut into the piston some and self clearance.

If its a stock PI 4.6 you can't fit much more than 225 intake duration installed at a 110 intake centerline and even that is only 0.020" of clearance. Most of the cams people say are good only give 0.005" of clearance between the piston and valve and thats if your cam gears are dead on at zero which only about half are.
