yes, I don't remember what T-45 was in the 99 Cobra so you might need to call Dallas Mustang and order the correct speed cal. If this helps I put a 3650 from a 01 Bullitt into a 96 cobra and the speedo was way way way off. I called Dallas mustang and they had a specific speed cal to fix this.

I replaced my t-45 with a 3650 in my 99 GT and I did not need anything to recalibrate the speedo.

Thanks.... If i have to i'll just take the speed sensor off of the old tranny and swap them. I just picked up a new clutch for the car today and i told the guy at transtar that i wanted the best clutch they had and they told me that luk only makes one kind of clutch for my car since it's 10 inches from the factory. Anyways i pulled the t45 out of the car today and i was planning on using the fluid that was already in it since i added new royal purple fluid in it 3 weeks ago when i changed the clutch out but it had metal shavings in it. B4 anyone askes, the reason im replacing the clutch again so soon was because the last clutch they gave me had a bad diaphram and was chirping at idle. BTW... they sell remaned t56's for $1100 but you gotta give them an old t56 case. So if i wanted to, i could go on craigslist and find a trashed t56 for around $500 and still save money compared to buying a new one.

So I put in the tr3650 today and i'm having a few problems. My number one most concern is that the car keeps killing when i go to a complete stop after downshifting when letting the rpm's go from 5K to 1.5K before i disengage the clutch. Another thing is, the speedometer doesn't work a bit and because of that, the odometer isnt moving, and also the backup lights aren't coming on. Another thing is that the tranny makes a bit of a clunking sound when I engage the clutch from a stop, even when i take off in 2nd. And the only way to get the car in reverse is if I first go into 2nd and then into Reverse!!! That sucks, but at least the guy i bought the tranny from is willing to give me back my money, but then again, i hate to spend 2 hours pulling out the tranny and then spend an hour returning it. Then i'd have to find another transmission.
