A/C clutch

It makes a **** load of noise as it cycles on and off. Is there something quick I can do to fix it or do I have to buy the whole assembly?

a bit more details than "**** load of noise" would help. does it rattle or squeal? is it constant or just on initial engagement?

its like a grinding noise just when the clutch is not engaged. When the clutch engages, the noise disappears.
