keep the 70mm TB. for an n/a application its the best IMO. Intake Velocity is more important to me than peak HP

Just out of curiosity, while we're on this subject, I've thought about going to a TFS intake with the oval TB, especially since I'll be boosting in the future, but for now I'm NA. Everyone says it's too much, but how come the bullitts have had success with that style intake on basically the same longblock we run?

The oval throttle body is bigger in size, but it uses two smaller blades as opposed to one huge one. That way it still has good throttle response, but flows alot more on the top end. Where if you were to just use one big single blade, it would hurt throttle response on a stock n/a car. The bullitt intake is designed for good throttle response like a PI intake, but better flow on the top end. So the intake and throttle body are matched together. The throttle body is only supposed to flow as much as the intake can handle. So since the Bullitt intake can handle more flow, it can use more flow through the throttle body. The setup works well with the PI cams even if they are a restriction. Ford rates the 01 bullitt at 265hp. The plastic PI intake cannot flow as much as the bullitt does, so that limits the size of the throttle body. On V8 cars like these you cannot use dual throttle bodys less than 50mm each and hope for good driveability. So ford uses a single 65mm for the plastic intake. It gets the job done. Im pushing 532whp through it no problem

Like everyone is saying, just keep the 70mm. It's not worth the money to go to a 75mm.
