I have a 4.6 4v out of a mach 1 available to me. Im thinking of buying it and swapping out the 3.8. The transmission, rear end, motor mounts, wiring harness, computer, and hood are included in the deal. Anyone ever done the swap before or know how difficult it would be?
Just ignore the Mark VIII specific stuff. Wiring will pose a different problem for you as you will need to replace the interior harness too. That guide will give you the basic idea.
You sure? I figured when hooking up the Mach stuff that it would be different, how the harness attaches to the interior harness. I may be wrong, but I thought the V6 was different.
naw, I read another thread about 3 weeks ago, a guy did a 4.6 swap into his 3.8 and he stressed that you didn't need to do it, thats how I remember. Looked for that thread but cant seem to find it now:/
