tranny help please

tranny help please
i have a 97 gt with a motor and tranny out an 01 gt. Motor runs perfect tranny shifts fine, only problem is i have no speedo. The old tranny uses a gear type thing for the speedo the new as im told uses a sensor. What can i do to fix this or do i just need to bolt up my old tranny?
