hey all. i've been having a thunking/knocking noise coming from the front end of my car whenever i hit bumps in the road. the bumps don't have to be big but the noise is very noticeable. i thought that it might be the struts but i'm not sure. anyone have any ideas as to what it might be? 97 cobra btw

need to just get under there and physically look at everything. then make sure all bolts are tight on the whole suspension. it could possibly be a strut, but thats more of a squeaking noise. a knocking noise is usually something has came loose. a broken swaybar will do that

yea i got a lil squeaking coming from the rear 2. im going to replace the shocks/struts by the end of the year. but i'll try to get under her this weekend. any other common parts like the sway bar that can make that noise when they're shot?

well the only things that are under the front end are the k member, steering rack, a arms, swaybar, swaybar end links, springs, struts, brakes, spindles, tie rod ends, bushings for everything, and the cc plates. usually if your struts are gone you can physically push down on the car and hear it squeak when you do that. you should be able to rule out a few things after you get under the car
