I have a 2002 GT and over the last 40k and say about 2-3 yrs I have gone through 4 rack and pinions from the drivers side seal blowing out and it leaking.... WTF, is there anything that I can do or get to help to keep this from happening?? After the 1st one went (which I assume was the original Ford one) I got a remain from Checker/O'Reilly and same thing, they last about a couple months (6-12months) and same thing. I don't drive crazy, it's my daily driver, the only thing I can think of is my driveway into my garage is a 90deg right turn, I don't max out the steering when I turn, but get close and make sure not to hold it against the bump stop of the steering!

WTF! just looking for suggestions on what to do, and preffer not to go with a manual rack!
