Default 70 shot?

I am helping my friend install a sound system in his NSX and for payment, he is giving me his old 70 dry shot nitrous system and going to help me install it. Its pedal activated, a nice system over all. Actually it was an old Co2 delivery system converted to a nitrous system.
He says the only thing I need to run is one step colder plugs (any suggestions?) and that's it.

A 70 shot isn't too big for a stock 90K motor, huh?

Any input would be apprecaited. I am new to nitrous, but cant pass up this deal.

not to sound like an *** or anything, but how will you be getting fuel for the nitrous? i hate dry kits, but some people still like to use them. first of all the idea of converting a co2 kit to n20 scares me. need to make sure the solenoid is able to handle the nitrous. second, you dont start out with a 70 shot. you start at 50hp, run it and log the a/f to make sure its good. then you can bump up to 100hp if you want. you need to find out exactly which jet youll need for it too. dont take the guys word for everything. it may sound like a killer deal now, but not after you find a huge hole in the side of the block because the guy "said" it would be fine. his nsx is much different from your stang

also i would think the timing will need to be adjusted even for that low of a shot.

spend a little extra money and convert it to a wet kit. and you can go to a 150 shot without changing the timing

If a dry kit is setup right you will not have any issues. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I've been running mine for a while now, and it's been great.

Your car will handle a 75 shot just fine.

For the shot you are going to use, just follow the basic rules of using Nitrous (ienly spray over 2500 rpms + closing btl then purging out excess so that you don't start it up later and forget it's on.) you should be fine.

I wouldn't do it. I've been using nitrous for a long time, and pieced together a few kits. I've used **** that most ppl wouldn't even concider using. And have had set ups look like a disaster waiting to happen...but they weren't... I made sure the key points were there and correct.basically you need to stay away from that kit... Don't use it, for a few reasons

A co2 and a n2o noid are both differant. Seals, inside design, etc

Jetting for a nsx and a mustang could be very differant, based on fuel press, bottle press, etc

W a dry kit it uses n2o pressure to add fuel via the fpr...a co2 kit doesn't have that half... You'll be adding nitrous and NO fuel...thatd be bad

There may be pieces of the kit that would be worth holding onto so u can piece together a kit... And a bottle alone is worth 100 bucks... So I'd still take the deal, and just plan on saving some parts and making a worth wile kit

2 deg per 50hp of a shot is the rule of thumb As a starting point
