Default is PVC hoese safe on cars?

does anyone know more than me about the PVC hoese? because i was just wondering if i can use a PVC hose on my 98 cobras return line for the coolant. its that thin short hose that i want to replace that goes from the radiator to the resovoir. would that be safe at all? i was looking at a PVC hose today and it said that it would work at 55 PSI at 70 degrees F. now engine coolant gets up to 200 degrees F probably right? so i was kind of skeptical about buying it. i just think it would look pretty neat if i could see my coolant going through the hose. im not doing all of them. just the little return line thats like about a foot long. also, how long would it last? thanks for any input!

Whats up man. PVC hose wont take the heat from everything. There is clear hose you can get that will take it. Im not sure what kind but theres tons of diffrent hoses out there. your best bet it to do your research before you get one. look online there companies that sells tons of that kinda stuff. i had to get a special plastic sheet oen time and theres tons of options out there. Another option is going to some hardware store and auto stores and tell them what you want to do and see if they have any that can handle the heat. If you get something strong it will last forever. It can be done it all depends on how much time you are willing to put into finding it.

As stated above, just get the right part instead of rigging it up.

Yea I say get the right part as well. If that fails even the slightest little bit it will cost you big $$$ once you overheat your motor. Then the clear tube wont seem so cool anymore.
