I installed a tko 500 in my 2000 gt, and am having severe vibrations that start at 75mph and up. I can it really strong in the shifter handle especially. I had the trans completely rebuild and the input/mainshaft checked.

The pinion angle is set at -3 degrees and I did use a driveshaft spacer. My setup is a tko 500 with lakewood bell. The clutch and flywheel are both new. The driveshaft is an aluminum ford motorsport.

I can rev the engine in nuetral or with clutch in to 6500 rpms and no vibration. If I am on the freeway and hit 75mph or more, it vibrates very strongly, even if i push in the clutch and throw it in nuetral. It will not stop vibrating until I am back under 75mph.

I called the trans shop and they are telling me that I need to check the angle relative to the crank, not the pinion angle alone. I'm really unsure how to go about this? He told me that people put shims under the motor mounts to correct it in mod cars.

Has anyone else had any problems like this or have any sort of guidance? Thanks.

did you install the drive shaft in the correct position? sounds like the driveshaft is your problem...possibly related to the spacer.
